If you want to change the world,
pick up your pen and write.

About
What do we do here? We write. We write to change the world, but first, we write to change ourselves.
  • We’ll use journaling and narrative as tools for reinvention. Whether you’re writing to heal, grow, or figure yourself out, you’re in the right place.
  • We’ll focus is on personal transformation, deep introspection, and writing as a vehicle for self-reinvention.
  • The work is about internal change through writing, which often results in external changes, too.
It’s about reinvention through writing.
  • The primary program at The writing space (“Reinvention through writing”) is deep, inner work—journaling, self-reflection, emotional processing, and identity reinvention. It’s wellness (emotional, mental, and spiritual) from the inside out.
  • It’s not about instant gratification. It’s a path, a journey, and a process. There’s a curriculum, structure, prompts, and gradual transformation—learning and change by writing.
It’s a good fit for …
  • Seekers,
  • Journalers,
  • Introspective types, and
  • Transformation-oriented writers.
(Inside intel: Introverted, soul-searching, and aspiring memoir writers or writers of self-help nonfiction, it’s especially for you!)
The writing space is a mix of …
  • Personal growth,
  • Writing/Journaling, and
  • Creativity/Spirituality.
It’s for anyone looking for a change.
  • If you’re feeling a sense of vague dissatisfaction.
  • If you love wrangling with existential questions.
  • If you’re feeling the pangs of midlife (but don’t want to go total scorched-earth on your life).
  • If you’re struggling with frustration or disappointment around unfulfilled potential.
  • If you’ve experienced a big life change, disruption, identity loss, or trauma and are ready to start rebuilding something (even if you don’t know what just yet).
  • If you want to make a difference in the world (and maybe are disappointed that you haven’t already).
  • If you prioritize growth and are looking for a new path to explore.
If any of that rings true, you might be in the right place. But just in case, here are some other ways to know if The writing space is a good fit for you.
  • Are you driven by self-discovery, clarity, truth, healing, or genuine impact?
  • Can you articulate (even messily) the inner restlessness or desire that brings you here (or why this message resonates)?
  • Are you willing to sit in discomfort, write through shadows, and explore complexity?
  • Do you want to change, evolve, re-imagine yourself—even if you’re scared?
  • Do you value silence, deep listening, and inner work?
  • Are you seeking guidance, not gurus? Tools, not dependency?
  • Is writing how you process?
The writing space is NOT for you if …
  • You’re seeking external validation.
  • You’re vague or evasive.
  • You’re resistant to vulnerability.
  • You don’t understand nuance.
  • You’re rigid, cynical, or just want someone to confirm your current identity.
  • You expect hand-holding, quick fixes, or a formulaic path to “success.”
  • Writing is just a means to an end—book deals, clicks, brand-building.
  • You treat writing as a productivity hack and platforms like stages or networking events.

(And if you didn’t understand any of that, just trust me and take it as a hard pass—it’s not for everyone.)
The writing space is for deep work and writing your way to the truest version of you.
If that sounds interesting to you, then … good, let’s keep going.
But, before we get serious, a disclaimer/warning.
I am not a therapist, and this content and program is not meant to take the place of therapy. Some of the things we talk about here may be triggering for some people, so please be sure to seek professional support when and where warranted.
So, with that out of the way, what’s next?
You don’t need to be ready. You only need to begin.

If something here stirred the part of you that’s been waiting—for silence, for meaning, for a place to write what matters—then consider this your invitation.

The writing space is opening its gates. Not to everyone. Not all at once. But slowly, intentionally—to those who feel the pull to write, to re-imagine, to begin again.

The first circle is gathering. I'm calling them the First scribes.

They're the ones shaping this space from the inside out—quiet builders, thoughtful rebels, writing their way into what’s next. If that feels like you, you’re welcome to step forward.

I'm glad to be part of this next chapter with you.

The writing space
P.S. Because of the personal nature of the writing I’m doing on in my own projects at The writing space, I’ve chosen to only write under my first name. That’s why I won’t be using my actual photos either. You’re welcome to do the same at TWS, should you end up creating a profile here, especially if you’re writing memoir or journaling in public and want to be able to write freely.
